Custom Payment Methods & Receipt Review

Custom payment methods provide instructions for a transfer completed outside MidpointPay. Submitting a receipt creates an unverified payment claim. An authorized administrator must independently confirm receipt before the app records funding.

Reviewed against the current app:

How do I submit a payment reference?#

Open an accepted agreement and follow the enabled payment instructions for its currency. Complete the transfer outside the app, then submit the reference and optional supporting file.

  1. Open the accepted agreement using its View button.
  2. Choose a payment method matching the agreement currency.
  3. Follow the displayed destination and reference instructions outside MidpointPay.
  4. Enter your payment reference and, optionally, select an uploaded supporting file.
  5. Submit the reference for independent administrator review.

Does a receipt or screenshot confirm funding?#

No. A receipt or reference alone does not confirm funding. An administrator must independently check receipt in the destination account, enter a unique settlement reference, and record a confirmation. The app then updates the transaction and its balanced financial journal.

What does a pending or rejected submission mean?#

Pending means that the claim is awaiting independent review. Rejected means that the administrator has not accepted the claim; read the review note and contact the administrator about any correction. Do not send a second transfer merely because the first claim is pending or rejected.

What if payment instructions change after I have paid?#

Payment submissions retain a snapshot of the instructions used. Previously displayed enabled instructions can still be used to report a transfer after an administrator edits the method. If the instructions are unavailable, contact the administrator and do not make another transfer.

Does MidpointPay automatically charge cards or send payouts?#

No automatic card collection, refund or payout provider is connected. Custom methods record externally completed transfers and reviewed receipts. Funding confirmation is a record of reviewed receipt, not an automatic outgoing transfer.

What is the difference between authorizing and confirming a payout or refund?#

Authorization records the buyer approval or administrator dispute decision and creates a pending settlement stage. Confirmation records an actual completed external transfer after independent verification. Manual settlement uses the agreement currency and full amount, retains a unique transfer reference and posts a balanced journal. The app does not initiate the transfer.

What if no payment method is available?#

An administrator must configure and enable a method matching the agreement currency. The app does not convert the agreement into another currency or supply a payment destination when no matching method exists.
