Account Setup & Default Currencies
Create a MidpointPay account with your name, email, country or territory of origin, and password. Your country suggests the initial default currency. Phone contact is optional, and SMS authentication is not used.
Reviewed against the current app:
How is my default currency chosen?#
The selected country or territory suggests a supported default currency. You can choose another default in account Settings or select a different currency when creating an agreement. Existing agreements keep their recorded amount and currency.
Are exchange-rate estimates the amount I must pay?#
No. The currency converter uses daily Frankfurter reference rates for comparison. It shows the rate date and an estimated equivalent. It does not exchange money, change an agreement or guarantee a bank or payment-provider rate. Pay using the agreement amount and matching payment instructions.
Do I need a phone number or SMS code?#
A phone number is optional contact information. If you provide one, include its international country code. The app does not send an SMS code, verify ownership of the number, or use it to sign you in.
Is email verification required?#
Registration email OTP is configurable by the administrator and is off by default. It is used only for registration when enabled with working email delivery. Administrator login does not use registration OTP.
How do I change my country, phone or default currency?#
Open Settings in your account workspace. Update the available country selection, optional phone number or preferred currency, then save. Changing a profile preference does not rewrite earlier transactions.
What if I forget my password?#
The sign-in page links to account recovery. Recovery email delivery must be configured and supported by the deployment. Configure and test SMTP in administration first; the recovery page shows whether delivery is available and any configured support contact.
